How to scope a software or automation project: what to tell a studio
A software project goes better when the person commissioning it can explain the problem clearly. You do not need to know about technology or arrive with a list of features: describing how you work today and what gets in the way is the right starting point.
Tell us about your project- Custom solutions for each business

The most useful things to share are who will use the tool, what each person does during the day and which data they handle. If you can show real examples, such as a spreadsheet, a document or a screenshot, a studio can understand in minutes what would otherwise take several meetings.
It also helps to say which tools you use now and which you want to keep, and whether the new one must connect to any of them. Explain what is essential from the first day and what can wait for a second phase, so that the first version concentrates on what matters most.
Another valuable piece is the reason behind the project: saving time, avoiding errors, serving more customers or getting clearer information. When the goal is clear it is easier to decide what to build first and how to tell afterwards whether it worked.
If you are thinking about a project, write to us through the form with whatever you have, even if it is untidy. We will help you put it in order and propose a reasonable scope to begin with.
